Funded support

A number of organisations work with Relate to enable us to offer support for the people who work with them.  They understand the pressure of the jobs they do could have an impact on their home life.  Or pressures at home can impact on work.  There are various schemes you can approach which may be able to help you access support from Relate.

 

Bank Workers Charity

Available to: Employees of UK banks

Charity for Civil Servants

Available to:  Current or former civil servants

Durham Public Health 

Available to: residents of Durham County Council area

Grocery Aid

Available to: Anyone who has worked in the grocery industry for a minimum of 5 years - the industry ranges from independent local greengrocers through to large factories and supermarkets

Health for Heroes

Help for Heroes supports Veterans and Serving Personnel who have been wounded or injured, or have become sick (WIS), as a result of serving their country.  Additionally their families and dependants receive support from the charity as they care for their loved one and adapt to the new challenges that they may face. 

Available to: Vetrans and Serving Personnel who hold evidence a service attributable injury or illness

What financial support is available?  All applications for help are considered on an individual case-by-case basis, Help for Heroes may be able to support you with grant funding to attend Relate counselling. 

 

Parkinson's UK 

Available to: People with Parkinson’s disease and their partners or carers

RAF Benevolent Fund 

Available to: Serving RAF personnel and their families

Royal British Legion 

Available to: Vetrans or existing Serving Personnel and their families

South Tees

Available to: residents of the South Tees Clinical Commissioning area - if you are registed at one of the surgeries listed on this leaflet you will live in that area

What financial help is available?  Up to 6 sessions for relationship or family counselling, or psychosexual therapy will be subsidised with residents asked to make a contribution of £25 per session 

 

Counselling can be provided via webcam or telephone for your convienence, there is no need to travel to one of our venues.
