Some poker variations do not include straights or flushes in the ranking of the hands, but do split the pot between the highest and lowest hands.
There are several variations of poker, including seven-card stud and community card poker. Seven-card stud is the most common. Stud poker requires the player to make the strongest five-card hand using the dealer’s and the other players’ cards. Community card poker is an alternate form of the game that requires the dealer to deal pocket cards to each player.

Although there are many variations of poker, bluffing is the most important element of the game. Bluffing is a practice in which a player makes a bet that he or she does not believe they will win, or that another player might have a better hand. Using this strategy, a player can win a large pot, but can also lose a small one.
